The Downtown Jonesboro Association is a Main Street Arkansas affiliate, making us a valuable tool in the downtown development tool box! The Main Street Arkansas staff members frequent Jonesboro to assist our downtown with technical assistance consultations, networking opportunities, and small business workshops.
- Mark Miller, small business consultant. Mark has been with Main Street Arkansas for 19 years, and provides confidential, no-cost business assistance on an as-requested basis within our local Main Street management district. Mark’s specialties include, but are not limited to: store operations, merchandising, market and sales analysis, management, and small business workshops.
- Susan Shaddox, interior design consultant. Arkansas is the only state in the national Main Street network to have an interior design consultant, and boy do we love her! Susan has worked in the interior design industry for over thirty years, and has quite the eye for design. Susan enjoys working with our downtown merchants on topics such as: rehabilitations for interior spaces, window and merchandise display, AutoCAD drawings for workable floor plans, conceptual design plans, and design research for building projects.
- Mason Toms, preservation service and design coordinator. Just drive down our Main Street, and you’re sure to see one of Mason Tom’s façade designs. Mason is new with Main Street Arkansas, but he’s certainly no rookie in the exterior and architectural field. Mason is a graduate from the University of Arkansas Faye Jones School of Architecture, and is a big advocate of historic preservation. Along with completing design renderings for buildings right here in our downtown, Mason’s areas of design assistance also include: rehabilitation advice for facades, review of streetscapes, signs, and planning, written recommendations and resources, and historic preservation advice.
