What was once the historical downtown building occupied by Massanelli’s Cleaners and Laundry at 222 Union will soon be home to 11 newly renovated lofts. Named Massanelli Manoir, the owner hopes to preserve the history of the previous name and downtown ambiance of the building. The property was bought by Vision 2000, Inc. earlier this year and is set to open in January 2017.
George Stem, partner of Vision 2000, Inc. along with Sean Stem and Ryan Kibler, and founder and CEO of Construction Network, Inc., is heading the Massanelli Manoir project. When asked why he chose Downtown Jonesboro for this particular project, he explained that it was actually his grandson, Hayden Stem, who wanted him to look at the old building and give it a shot. Stem said that once he got a good look at the building he was sold on the Downtown property!
Making this project a family affair, construction on the Massanelli Manoir lofts is being done by CNI, George’s family owned and operated construction company here in Jonesboro. George’s son, Sean Stem, is the President of the company and is taking part in making his dad’s vision come to life for the lofts. The VP of CNI is George’s son-in-law, Ryan Kibler. Of course, in charge of decorating the lofts is George’s wife, Janice! Additionally, George’s granddaughter, Macy Stem, and her soon-to-be husband, Caleb Moss, will be managing the property and taking pre-lease information. If you aren’t already sold on the lofts, picture the idea of not needing a key to live there – just an iPhone! The lofts will feature a secure, enclosed environment with all access points controlled via iPhone. There will also be covered, secure, premium parking. George hopes that Massanelli Manoir will add to the growing downtown business, and he hopes to see the Main Street environment spread to Union Avenue.
Downtown embodies a small community ambiance and we are so thrilled to be adding a family owned and operated business to strengthen Downtown Jonesboro. Downtown truly is family, and we can’t wait for Vision 2000, Inc., CNI, and the Stem family to be a part of it!
Although the lofts aren’t set to be in full swing until January 2017, Massanelli Manoir is currently pre-leasing their 11 units and has already received multiple inquiries. For more information, call 930-7841.
